The Pen
Machined metal. Standard ink.
The Pen is machined from a single bar of 6061 aluminum, then hard-anodized in the same matte black as the rest of the kit. It has real weight, the kind that settles into your hand and tells you what it is made of. The balance sits forward enough to write without thinking about it, and the finish is even across every surface, with no blotching and no glare under a desk lamp.
We did not reinvent the ink. The Pen takes a standard refill, Pilot G2 or a Parker-style cartridge, so you can write with what you already like and replace it anywhere. The work went into the parts you feel: tight tolerances, a clean action, and a body that does not rattle, slip, or shine. Pick it up and it disappears into the writing.
It is one object in a matched system. Set it next to the wallet and the key holder and it speaks the same language, the same black, the same restraint. No loud logo, only a small etched mark for the people who look closely. Buy it on its own or add it to the kit. Either way it will match what you carry next.

Wipe the body with a soft, dry cloth. For fingerprints, use a slightly damp cloth and dry it off. The hard-anodized finish resists daily wear, but avoid solvents and abrasives. To replace the ink, unthread the body and drop in a standard Pilot G2 or Parker-style refill.
A pen is the piece most people settle for, picked up at a desk or an airport and never matched to anything. We made the opposite: solid machined metal, an even matte finish, and a standard refill so the only thing you ever replace is the ink. It is the small object that makes the rest of the kit look intentional.
